Basically Flatout: Ultimate Carnage is a remake with better graphics and more cars.
It's quite confusing: Flatout: Ultimate Carnage is the third game of the series, but at the same time it's the PC conversion of the Xbox 360 game, which was a new version of the PC game Flatout 2. I still like the graphics of FlatOut 2 best though. Better graphics and gameplay mechanics than the first, and Ultimate Carnage is just FlatOut 2 with GFWL and supposedly improved graphics. FlatOut 2 is definitely the best out of all of them IMHO. The original 'Flatout' was, and still is, the best racing sim I've ever been privileged to. They seemed to cut some corners in producing 'Flatout 2' fewer 'rural' areas, more downtown city scenarios, no winter driving, etc. Running stand-alone or integrated with just about any ERP application, BarTender is used by many hundreds of thousands of people in more than 150 countries. Having had time to compare 'Flatout' vs 'Flatout 2', I have to state that the original 'Flatout' is a much superior game.
